Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) is pleased to announce that Brentwood Community Chorus has been invited to participate in a performance of Handel’s “Messiah” at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Sunday, November 25, 2018.
Dr. Jonathan Griffith, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor for DCINY states: “The Brentwood Community Chorus, under the direction of Susan Stuart, received this invitation because of the quality and high level of musicianship demonstrated by the singers and the high quality of their audition recordings, It is quite an honor just to be invited to perform in New York. “The chorus members have been working hard and are excited about this amazing opportunity,” added Brentwood Community Chorus director Susan Stuart. “We only do this beautiful piece of music every other year so we have a lot to do to be performance ready. Since I won’t be conducting this performance, I will be able to participate as a singer.”
East County residents will be able to hear the Brentwood Community Chorus perform Handel’s “Messiah” on Saturday, December 1, 7:30 p.m. at El Campanil in Antioch.
