Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) is pleased to announce that Brentwood Community Chorus has been invited to participate in a performance of Handel’s “Messiah” at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Sunday, November 25, 2018.

Dr. Jonathan Griffith, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor for DCINY states:  “The Brentwood Community Chorus, under the direction of Susan Stuart, received this invitation because of the quality and high level of musicianship demonstrated by the singers and the high quality of their audition recordings, It is quite an honor just to be invited to perform in New York.  These wonderful musicians not only represent a high quality of music and education but they also become ambassadors for the entire community.  This is an event of extreme pride for everybody and deserving of the community’s recognition and support.  With its unforgettable concert experiences, DCINY changes lives through the power of performance.”

“The chorus members have been working hard and are excited about this amazing opportunity,” added Brentwood Community Chorus director Susan Stuart.  “We only do this beautiful piece of music every other year so we have a lot to do to be performance ready.  Since I won’t be conducting this performance, I will be able to participate as a singer.”

East County residents will be able to hear the Brentwood Community Chorus perform Handel’s “Messiah” on Saturday, December 1, 7:30 p.m. at El Campanil in Antioch.

Tickets for this performance are $15 each and may be purchased at www.elcampaniltheatre.com beginning October 2.
