Brentwood: Candlelight Vigil Held for Veterans Home Shooting

by ECT

Brentwood — Supervisor Diane Burgis of District 3 would like to thank all those who were able to attend the candlelight vigil held Wednesday in Veterans Park on March 14.

The Office would like to express special appreciation to Mike Crosby,  Pathway’s Program board member and Nathan D. Johnson of the county Veterans Service Office for their insight and words of comfort.

Supervisor Burgis remarked, “The most challenging times for veterans is often when they return home.  It is important for our community to come together in the wake of this tragedy to remember the people who have died in service of others, to remember the people who continue to serve and those who continue to suffer as we mourn the lives of these three brave women.”

Supervisor Burgis would also like to thank the following individuals and organizations for their participation, providing logistical needs such as audio and other production support:

  • American Legion 202
  • Antioch VFW
  • Boy Scouts of America
  • Brentwood Reprographics
  • Brentwood Rotary for their ongoing support of Pathway Home
  • City of Brentwood
  • Dan Helix, United States Volunteers
