Brentwood: Bomb Threat Prompts Liberty High School Lockdown

by ECT

Shortly before 1 pm Friday, the Brentwood Police Department responded to Liberty High School for a suspicious circumstance on campus which triggered a lockdown as a precaution.

According to Brentwood Police Chief Mark Evenson, a bomb threat was called into the school.

“A bomb threat was called in similar to the one we had at Heritage High School a month or so ago,” said Evenson. “It was a threat to set off a bomb at the school if they don’t leave a bag of cash out by the curb. It appears to be another meritless threat at this time, but we are investigating and looking for any suspicious packages.”

No further information was released.
