Dear Liberty Families:

Today at 10:12 a.m. I received a report from our School Resource Officer that the Brentwood Police Department received a call to their dispatch center stating someone was going to enter the campus with guns and a bomb. Based upon this information, we decided to lockdown the campus. Several officers from the Brentwood Police Department arrived immediately and they searched the entire campus. After determining that the campus was safe, at 11:05 a.m. we notified everyone that the campus was all clear. Ultimately, the call proved to be a hoax.

Our entire staff was very professional in the handling of the situation. I appreciate the diligence of the teachers, support staff, campus security agents, and assistant principals. Student safety is our highest priority and we will continue to be vigilant in our supervision of the campus.

I recognize this kind of news can be unsettling. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns. My number is (925) 634-3521, x5201.

Sincerely,

Patrick M. Walsh
Principal
