Brentwood: Adult Male Cited for Trespassing on Liberty High School Campus

by ECT

The following message was sent out by Liberty High School Principal Patrick Walsh after a male in a white van tried to enter the campus.  One student reported the subject offered him a ride.

Dear Liberty Parents:

This morning at approximately 8:30 am, an adult male in a white van tried to enter our campus through the district maintenance facility.  The van was stopped by our campus security agent and a district maintenance worker.  The van was turned away from our campus.  Our campus security agent took down the license plate number and description of the van and the man driving it.  One of our students said the driver offered him a ride, so we contacted law enforcement.  Our School Resource Officer stopped the van.  The driver is being cited for trespassing.

Given all the recent events in our community, we are being very vigilant about the security of our campus.  We have added an extra campus security agent working to keep things safe.  The district is installing a rolling gate in the maintenance yard that will be activated by a remote.  This will further deter those from entering without permission.  I appreciate the campus security agents, administrators, and police for being diligent in their supervision of our campus.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any question at (925) 634-3521, x5201.

With Lion Pride,

Patrick M. Walsh
