At 7:56 pm Thursday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to the 1300 block of Crescent Drive in Brentwood for an 11-year-old who had a head laceration from a fall.

According to Jake Gonzalez, ECCFPD Battalion Chief, the laceration occurred from a fall that was unwitnessed and was undetermined how it occurred.

“It was presumed that the patient was swinging on an unknown device when he fell and struck his head per the parent on scene,” said Gonzales in his report. “The patient was transported by AMR to the hellispot located at John Muir Hopsital where the patient was transferred to CAL-STAR1 and transported to Children’s Hospital in Oakland.”

The probable cause was listed as a fall from a swing.
