Bay Point Shooting Leaves 21-Year-Old in Critical Condition

On Wednesday at about 7:40 PM, Contra Costa County Deputies were called to a residence on the 100 block of Gibson Avenue in Bay Point regarding a shooting. Deputies arrived and found a 21 year old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to Jimmy Lee, Director of Public Affairs Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff, the victim was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. The incident is still under investigation and the victim was last in critical condition.

A neighbor stated the incident had to do with “turf” while sharing that as of Friday afternoon, the victim is alive but is still in critical condition.

No further information is being provided as the case is still under investigation.
