Bay Point: Firefighters Knock Down 2 Alarm Fire Involving 2 Abandoned Homes

At 11:54 am Tuesday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a residential structure fire in 300 block of Pullman Ave in Bay Point.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported a well involved structure threatening two additional structures. By 12:05 pm, a 2nd alarm was requested after a second structure caught fire. It was also reported that a power pole was also on fire and wires were a safety hazard.

It was unknown if there was any occupants in the home. It was also reported that the home at previously caught fire.

By 12:15 pm, it was reported the second structure fire was out, however, the original home on fire was no fully engulfed.

By 12:23 pm, the bulk of the fire was knocked down from the exterior with interior fire still going. There was also a gas line on fire.

By 12:33 pm, the fire was reportedly under control and stated there would be extensive overhaul. It was also reported that both homes were abandoned. Two RV’s were also damaged.
