Bay Point: Fatal Hit and Run Kills Antioch Man and His Dog

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a collision on June 6 at 10:52 pm after being advised of a collision involving a pedestrian in Bay Point.

Upon CHP arrival, it was determined this was a fatal pedestrian collision and the vehicle involved fled the scene. The unknown vehicle was traveling on eastbound Port Chicago Highway at Lakeview Drive.

For unknown reasons, an adult male, 41 yr old from Antioch and his dog, were in the roadway. The unknown vehicle struck the man and his dog and then fled the scene.

Tragically, the man and his dog suffered fatal injuries and were both pronounced deceased at the scene. This is an ongoing investigation and it’s unknown if alcohol or drugs were involved in the collision.

I sure hope they catch this person. This really bugs me. It has got to be someone who lives right around there.
