Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) has announced that through January 2, it will be providing a modified weekday schedule to the Pittsburg/Bay Point station. It has also announced its New Years Eve Schedule.
Modified weekday schedule during holidays
In anticipation of light ridership during the holidays, we will modify our schedule by selectively reducing service where lower ridership is expected. We will trim peak-commute weekday Pittsburg/Bay Point trains that usually run in the early morning hours and in the mid-afternoon. Instead of running trains five minutes apart on the Pittsburg/Bay Point (Yellow) line, trains will run every 10 to 15 minutes. This modified commute-time schedule will be in place on Friday, 12/23/2106, Monday-Friday 12/26-30, and Monday, 1/2/2017.
2016 New Year’s Eve Schedule
We will run standard Saturday service until 8pm. Special service to and from San Francisco starts at 8pm and extends to 3am.Trains will run every 20 minutes after midnight with extra trains standing by in downtown San Francisco after the fireworks show.(Click here for a .pdf of the schedule).
PLEASE NOTE: To minimize platform overcrowding at Embarcadero, Montgomery, and West Oakland, beginning at 8pm, trains will skip stops into and out of San Francisco as follows:
