Assemblymember Frazier Appointed as Chair of Select Committee on Improving Bay Area Transportation Systems

Sacramento, CA – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D – Oakley) has been appointed by Speaker Toni Atkins (D – San Diego) to Chair the Select Committee on Improving Bay Area Transportation Systems.

“This Select Committee provides a forum for Bay Area representatives to discuss important transportation issues on a regional level,” said Assemblymember Frazier. “Each member of this committee brings relevant perspective and expertise to the table. It is my hope that our proactive involvement as a team will bolster meaningful dialogue and offer innovative solutions to address our most critical transportation system needs.”

Members of the Select Committee will work to develop and improve an efficient regional transportation network that benefits local residents, the environment, and state and local commerce. Through hearings and data collection, the Select Committee will also collaborate to offer ideas and solutions that will address the region’s most pressing transportation needs and challenges.

Select Committee members will also include: Assemblymember Bonta (D – Alameda), Assemblymember Chiu (D – San Francisco), Assemblymember Chu (D – San Jose), Assemblymember Dodd (D – Napa), Assemblymember Bonilla (D – Concord), Assemblymember Levine (D – San Rafael), Assemblymember Low (D – San Jose), Assemblymember Mullin (D – San Mateo), Assemblymember Quirk (D – Hayward) and Assemblymember Thurmond (D- Richmond).
