Good news for East County and Delta advocates as Assemblyman Jim Frazier (D-Oakley) was appointed to the Delta Protection Commission. Frazier informed me of the appointment last night and was excited to get back on the commission to get to work on protecting the Delta.
Frazier originally had to drop from the Delta Protection Commission where he was appointed by the Contra Costa Mayors Conference after he won State Office–he served on the Commission as the representative for Contra Costa County.
The good news about this appointment is East County now has three representatives on the Commission which includes Supervisor Mary Piepho and Oakley Councilwoman Diane Burgis (pictured above with Frazier) ensuring East County has a strong voice on behalf of the Delta.
The trio should be able to do some nice things together on our behalf.
About the Delta Protection Commission

The goal of the Commission is to ensure orderly, balanced conservation and development of Delta land resources and improved flood protection.
