Armed Robbers Hit Verizon Store in Brentwood on Lone Tree Way

by ECT

On Wednesday morning, three men armed with firearms entered the Verizon Store in the 6400 block of Lone Tree Way in the City of Brentwood.

According to a witness, three men entered the store armed with firearms ordered everyone to the ground. Two men then went to the back of the store, grabbed merchandise and all three men exited the store and fled the scene.

Brentwood Police Lieutenant Walter O’Grodnick confirmed the robbery did occur, but he had little details. He did say that nobody was injured and the suspects remain outstanding.

The exact time of the robbery was not released, however medical was requested to the scene around 10:30 am.

The amount of merchandise or its value was not available and its unclear if Brentwood Police will be releasing suspect information or photographs.

Last week, it was reported on social media that two men smashed a sliding glass door of a home and robbed the occupants at gunpoint. O’Grodnick also confirmed that incident, but no details were released as they were still investigating.  It’s unclear if that incident was related to today’s armed robbery. Why is there no suspect description released? The public is entitled to more info for public safety reasons. Lets get these guys caught and in prison!

They will not release the descriptions yet. They do not want the purps to know they know while the hunt is on. Once law enforcement reach a dead end they will post in hopes of public assistance. Very common procedure.

No description means they are black….and I’m a minority myself, who sees this as political correctness.

” said O’Grodnick. “Both suspects fled in an awaiting, older model dark colored Honda Accord. Both suspects were described as two black males, late teens to early 20’s, wearing dark colored hoodies, one armed with a pistol.”

See previous post. Law enforcement is angry and hungry now. Go get em BPD!! I suspect it wont be long.

KCBS Reported that there was a pursuit in progress that started on SR 4, went down 242 then onto southbound 680 at about 10:30 this morning. Any news on this? All roads seem to lead back to Oakland

One of the victims lost money he was saving to pay Brentwood taxes. When they called 911 to report being robbed at gunpoint point reponse was very slow. The city needs to help these victims financially until the perps are caught. Also was the vech picture taken on cameras the city put in or are the funds being used for bike paths?
