Way to go Antioch averaging almost 5 vehicle thefts per day. Shame on this entire community.

This is probably why the city council took away the scanner and the new city manager removed the briefs. They want to keep us in the dark and pretend things are improving when they are not.

The new mayor is doing jack to make this town safer.

That’s why I moved out of Antioch they aren’t doing a thing to get rid of the scumbags in the area shame on them

Rjb May 8, 2017 - 11:39 am

Mayor Wright and the rest of the show better have a good plan to get this crime in control… and it better be something more entertaining than “boycotting”!

The “boycotting” trick is is old news. What are they going to “boycott” the crime issue? Lmao

Tired of the same old shit May 8, 2017 - 12:11 pm

Interesting to note that the speed limit in highway Lone Tree has been raised to 75 mph.

The_Dude May 9, 2017 - 3:18 pm

I dont think there is a speed limit at all anywhere in Antioch

Just think, Antioch could bring in 10’s of thousands of dollars a year by enforcing traffic laws but they dont because too many special groups would be targeted and dat be rasis n sheet

RJB May 9, 2017 - 4:04 pm

Ha! Great points.

CLR May 10, 2017 - 10:03 am

I concur.. I mean fo sho!!

It’s jaw dropping that Antioch has so much crime.

I wonder what Antioch has that other surrounding cities don’t. Brentwood doesn’t come close so they must be lacking something Antioch has an abundance of. Pittsburg does come close to Antioch crime so there must be a correlation between Pittsburg and Antioch.

I wonder what it is hmmm….

Lmao.

Don Draper May 10, 2017 - 1:18 am

Correlation =/= causation my friend.

datadriven May 11, 2017 - 3:32 pm

RJB’s delivery could use some polishing but he is absolutely correct. Are you stating that you have some other profound root-cause for the destruction of Antioch since the late 90’s ? Everyone in the county knows the how and why at this point.

FBI data seems to suggest that a certain demographic and age-range commit the majority of all violent crime in the U.S. Section 8 rentals bring in that demographic. Antioch has a disproportionate amount of this demographic concentrated in small areas as compared to other cities in the county(Sycamore, SE, Deer Valley for example). Crime spikes, stores close doors after school, gunshots daily, trash and graffiti everywhere….

Seriously….?

@Data

Very refreshing 🙂

Why hasnt there been any word or report of the person hit and killed by the train downtown.i was at riverview resteraunt when it happened and i havent seen any kind of anything pertaining to the person.How many have been killed down there so many yet nothing is being done.

The_Dude May 12, 2017 - 7:35 am

Melissa,

This is great news. I hadnt heard about that yet either. The only people down by riverview and the amtrack station are the scum of the earth. Its AWESOME to see nature takes it course and cull the herd so to speak. The only thing unfortunate about this is that a large group of vagrants didnt stand in front of the train together its always just one-off’s.

What I think needs to be done is we need to throw more of these bums in front of the trains.

@Dude

The delivery of your message is both impressively clear and geniusly simple.
