April 13: Mandatory Bidders Conference for Keller Canyon Grants

by ECT

If your agency is considering applying for a grant from the Keller Canyon Landfill Mitigation Fund, attendance at the Bidders’ Conference is mandatory.

The bidders conference will be held:
April 13, 9 a.m.-11 a.m.
Pittsburg City Hall, 65 Civic Drive, 3rd floor

Supervisor Federal Glover, who administers the grant program, advises that potential applicants send a representative just to remain eligible for the grants. If an agency is not represented at the conference, they will be ineligible to apply for a grant. “No exceptions,” he warns.

The KCLM Fund was established to help the communities of Pittsburg and Bay Point for having the landfill located near those communities’ southern borders.

Last year, 88 agencies and programs from around the county received a portion of the $1.395 million Keller Canyon Landfill Mitigation grant. The grants are awarded to nonprofit or government agencies serving the residents of those communities.
