Antioch: Woman Wounded Sunday Morning While Walking Her Dog

by ECT

On Sunday November 2, Antioch Police responded to the intersection of W. 18TH Street and “A” Street on the report of several gunshots heard in the area around 11:45 am. Upon arrival officers located an adult female and dog who had been shot.

According to police, witnesses reported to officers that a group of males were seen shooting at another group of males at the southeast corner of the intersection.

A female victim who was standing across the intersection from the group was struck by a single gunshot in the leg.

According to police, the female victim did not appear to be a part of either group. The dog was also struck, but is expected to be okay. The female victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses reported that a group of males ran eastbound on East 18TH Street as the other group ran southbound on “A” Street.

IMG_3739Police said an area search was conducted and officers contacted a group of male subjects a short distance away from the scene. This group was determined to be the targets of the suspects who fled eastbound on East 18TH Street, and they did not sustain any injuries.

IMG_3703The investigation led officers to make a vehicle stop in the area of Sunset Lane and Davison Drive. Consequently, Daniel Washington, 19 of Bay Point, Karmani Ely, 18, Antioch resident, and a 17-year-old juvenile were taken into custody.

The investigation into this incident is on-going.

They are originally from Oakland & San Francisco. They are welfare transplants. I wish the media would start covering where they originally came from & put the shinning light on the real issue, how this was allowed to happen? Why are they here & how was it so easy to transfer their housing vouchers to Antioch? I would like to see you dig some real information up ECT.

I would like to see people loose there vouchers when there home is raided or they get arrested in crimes like this. I am so tired of agencies helping people who aren’t trying to be a productive member of our city.

And don’t forget, just a few days ago:
ANTIOCH — A woman was bound by duct tape after running into an intruder inside her home, but she escaped without physical injury, police said.

Police were still looking for a male suspect who entered the woman’s home in the 4200 block of Merced Circle around 8:03 a.m. on Tuesday, Antioch police Sgt. Tom Fuhrmann said. According to police, he brandished a gun at the woman, then took her hands and bound them together while he looted the house.

“When he was finished, he left, and she got up, found a neighbor and got some help,” Fuhrmann said.

Reports that a nearby elementary school was ordered to lockdown were not accurate, he said.–CC TIMES
