The Antioch Police Department responded to a call around 11:30 am involving a woman trying to run a man over with her vehicle. The man fled, but was later found hiding in nearby bushes. This appears to be a domestic abuse case, but little details were available on scene. Back at the woman’s home on August Way across the street from Kimball Elementary School it took four officers to physically restrain her and place her in the police car as the woman was screaming, trying to free herself and was visibly upset.
Both the man and woman were taken into custody and this incident will be investigated further. It’s unclear if drugs or alcohol were related to this incident.

Another fine day in Antioch. Antioch Police Department deserves huge kudos for trying so hard to work with what they have.
