Antioch: Vehicle Rollover Accident Shuts Down E 18th

At 10:03 am Wednesday, a rollover vehicle accident shut down E. 18th at Alhambra in Antioch after a vehicle rollover struck a power line.

Contra Costa County Firefighters and Antioch Police responded and pulled a male driver out of the vehicle. The man was quickly in the care of AMR and transported via ground to a local hospital.

According to police on scene, they shattered the windshield to pull the man to safety. Police released no information on scene but it appears speed was a factor in the accident.

According to the PG&E website, the incident knocked out power to 854 customers as of 11:21 am.
