Antioch: Student Approached After School by Adult Male

The Antioch Unified School District announced today that a student at John Muir Elementary School was approached by an adult male on their way home from school on Thursday.

According to Adam Clark, Associate Superintendent for Educational Services, the incident was reported Friday morning and police were contacted and are investigating.

This is Ms. Wahidi, principal of John Muir Elementary School, calling with an important safety announcement. Administration at John Muir Elementary School has just confirmed that there was an adult male who attempted to lure one of our students on his way home from school yesterday, near Eagleridge and Fallow Way.

The student is safe and the police are notified to further investigate this case.  P

lease take a moment to remind your children to be on the lookout and actively avoid strangers. If your child is ever approached by a stranger, please remind them to tell a school official or law enforcement officer immediately.  As always, your child’s safety is our number one concern.
