Update: Antioch Police Say Sunday Shooting Now Homicide Investigation

At 6:07 pm Sunday, the Antioch Police officers responded to a report of a shooting on Cashew Ct across from Almondridge Park in Antioch.

According to police, a male was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

As of 8:22 pm, no further information was provided and Cashew Ct. is currently blocked off as police were on scene investigating.

Update:

According to Lieutenant D. Bittner  Antioch Police Department patrol officers responded to the call of a subject bleeding in the driveway of a residence on Cashew Court. When officers arrived, they located a subject in the driveway suffering from a gunshot wound. The subject was transported to a local area hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Update 2:
Antioch Police have not offered any new details, other than the case is now being investigated as a homicide.

On 10/23/17, the victim in this case died from his gunshot wound. The investigation is now
being called a homicide. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
