Antioch Police Release Photographs of Bank Robbery Suspect

On Tuesday, the Antioch Police Department released photographs of a bank robbery suspect who robbed the Antioch Community Federal Credit Union on April 7.

According to Lieutenant Bittner, at approximately 2:07 PM on 4/7/17, Antioch Police Officers were dispatched to the Antioch Community Federal Credit Union located at 301 G Street on the report of a robbery.

“The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle just prior to the arrival of officers. Nobody was injured during the robbery and the take was cash,” said Bittner. “The suspect was described by witnesses as being a black male adult wearing dark clothing.”

Police released a total of three photographs.

Banks should give dye packs. It’s the only thing that will hinder a potential criminal thinking of robbing a bank.

The whole idea is to keep him from robbing the bank in the first place, not kill him after the fact. If they know the money will explode, they’ll think twice about walking in.

What could this bank have done better to thwart a robbers success? Bank rubbery success leads to more bank robbers in our community.

Antioch is like the Davis of the east bay, but instead of future doctors and engineers riding bikes around town, it’s junkies and robbers riding stolen and kids bikes.
