Antioch Police Raise $7,800 During No Shave November Campaign

by ECT

The Antioch Police Department announced Wednesday that they raised $7,800 during the “No Shave November” campaign.

Antioch Police Chief Allan Cantando thanked the community for their support as they originally had a goal of $5,000.

The money raised will benefit the following organizations: American Cancer Society, Prevent Cancer Foundation, Fight Colorectal Cancer, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Cantando stated that officers who participated in this cause were exempt from adhering to the department’s facial hair restrictions as outlined in our Personal Appearance Standards policy–they did have to make a $25 donation.

Seems sexist how did the female officers participate? By not shaving legs or something?

Just another reason they shouldn’t be cops, dude.

There must be a better way to raise money than grow facial hair. Disgusting. Officers should have no facial hair and no tattoos.
