Keep the pressure on, APD 🙂
Awesome Work!!

yani Jul 24, 2014 - 12:14 pm

they should do that often

Reginald Jamal Brown Jul 24, 2014 - 12:23 pm

They should do this at least 2 times a week! Measure C money is pouring in and and none of it is being used to hire more officers because supposedly they can’t find solid applicants!

They have enough funding from measure C to keep this going. Rather I say, extra tax dollars us citizens are paying.

I bet the mayor and council would rather keep that money in the general fund in order to pay for other expenses, while supporting the notion that they are trying to hire more officer but simply can’t because of some caca-may-me excuse.

It’s comments like yours that gives the Antioch Police department a bad name. The department is looking to hire quality applicants rather than rushing to hire individuals who are not capable of working in a busy city like Antioch. It would also be nice to have these details more often but these officers who participate in the details are doing this on their off days after working 12+ hour shifts on their regular work days.

It is comments like yours that exemplifies stupidity. Nowhere in my post was I bashing the PD; the request for more proactive action was profound. Moreover, in a recent article, it was indicated by the Chief that they had to get funding from the city manager and mayor in order to be more proactive, hence, my resolution to the measure C funds and the stagnancy of said funds.

The first sentance of your post has absolute no relevance to the rest of your sputter. For example:

I like the color green. Therefore, penguins are evil and should be made into lotion.

they get out of jail and go back 2 home sweet home….

Reginald Jamal Brown Jul 24, 2014 - 3:21 pm

I wonder if that is true.

Mike O'Dwyer Jul 24, 2014 - 4:04 pm

They should do that every day .. And tax the people who own the section 8 Houses to pay for it…

Reginald Jamal Brown Jul 24, 2014 - 5:50 pm

Why can’t they do this all the time? Our measure C money isn’t going towards new hires anyway. There’s plenty of money to fund proactive activity.

Brad is worthless

Preston Jul 24, 2014 - 9:29 pm

And so are ignorant Brads.. I mean people..

Hey EastCountyToday,

I noticed you deleted Brad’s comment, as well as money others. Please enlighten me as to why you didn’t delete Steve’s or Preston’s?

If you are going to play Gestapo then be consistent.

Reggie, here’s a thought.

If you want to run your race baiting mouth 24/7 and do nothing but attempt to stir up controversy, start your own freakin’ blog.

Then you get to run it any way you like.

Here, it’s someone else’s sandbox. You don’t get to set the rules and you shouldn’t act too surprised that if you continue to push it, you see yourself getting tossed off the island.

If you can’t tell the difference between blatant racist posts and the ones that are left, then maybe you need to spend a little time in a remedial class and less time stirring up the sheit here.

Just sayin.

It was totally predictable that when one idiot when waaaay over the line, the rest of you racist clowns would pile on. Take it to the white supremacist sites. You’ll be better appreciated there. Main street America doesn’t need to sit and tolerate that crap.

Not buying the schtick, Dude. You have offered nothing for solutions that rates above the intellectual level of the people you like to trash. They talk smack and so do you. Just with a slightly different vocabulary. It’s trolls trolling trolls here lately with you and Thug. A major downgrade in the quality of dialog.

You don’t like the Mayor, then pick up a frickin’ clipboard and start collecting signatures. But don’t sit there expecting someone else to wipe your nose.

Been trying to delete those types of racial race baiting comments as quickly as they go up or we see them.

The first step to solving a problem is identifying it with specificity and as much detail as possible. Many people, are too blind and or too scared to talk about the real issues in this city. Many people just can’t handle it. I am one of those that will be candid about it.

This news blog site allows people to express their opinions. Mine has always been one of facts and exactly how I see it. Just because I said a black person committed the crime and the pictures show that information you call me a racists? Please… My comments are always never far from the truth of the matter.

There are people on this site that make blatant racist remarks with nothing to back it up yet most if not all of those comments stick around with no warning from ECT while people who are candid and speak about the facts get stomped on.

Furthermore, why would you expect someone like me to have the answer to our crime problems? I never put myself out there as a superhero. Your assumptions are flat out absurd. I run my mouth about the crappy work of the Mayor and Council because it is true and guess what? Many many people believe the same thing.

Moreover, don’t be such a hypocrite Clue. I’ve read your posts and what the heck have you offered? Most of your posts are only in response to people against your opinion. What solutions have YOU brought in? That’s right I said it.

Clue, another piece of advice while I’m educating you on the subject matter, I have been to many council meetings and expressed my concerns on that podium. I was one of the few black men at yesterday’s march. All these actions have led to nothing because the city leaders will not take any substantial action against crime. Point being, people read these blogs and it does cause the spark to start something new.
