Antioch Police Officers Association Endorses Wade Harper For Mayor

by ECT

Antioch, CA – The Antioch Police Department announced that they have endorsed Mayor Wade Harper for re-election.

The move comes after a thorough interview process and evaluation of all of the mayoral candidates.

“The APOA feels Mayor Harper can continue to address the serious issues which face the city of Antioch and with their hard work will make the city of Antioch safer, ” said Will Dee
Antioch Police Officer’s Association President.

Harper said in a press release that the Antioch Police Officer’s Association has been an excellent model for endorsing mayoral Candidates.  That process consists of sending an invitation to all of the candidates, providing written questions in advance, and conducting interviews.  After interviews and evaluation of all of the candidates a selection was made of the candidate that most represents the values of the Antioch Police Officer’s Association.

Mayor Harper says he is the only proven leader in the mayoral race and the true champion for public safety and crime prevention calling himself a man of action with a clear vision for the future of Antioch as he has led the city through the strategic planning process.

He says in that plan public safety is a top priority and is working to reduce crime, improve economic development and jobs.

“I am very excited that I have earned the trust of my colleagues in Law Enforcement and to have this very important endorsement,” said Harper.

Mayor Harper also highlighted he is a leader who understands the Law Enforcement profession and public safety issues as he is the only candidate who has ever walked a beat, having served 24 years in Law Enforcement.  He has walked in the shoes of police dispatchers, CSOs and police officers as he rose through the ranks to police lieutenant.

He currently utilizes his law enforcement training and experience as a teacher at Antioch High School teaching in the Leadership and Public Services Academy.  His goal is to raise up the next generation of leaders and public safety professionals.  Mayor Harper encourages students to volunteer in the community including volunteering as police explorers.

Our great and competent Mayor’s response to Rouse’s comment above, is hilarious. He’s such a chicken sh*t that his reasons have become a comedy.
