Antioch Police Net Several Arrests Monday

by ECT

The Antioch Police Department had a very productive Monday as they made multiple arrests throughout the day for various types of crimes and violations.

In the afternoon hours in the Blue Rock area, police were able to stop a robbery in progress while tracking down the subject and taking him into custody.  They also tracked down a suspect in the 6th Street area who proceeded to run from PD for a few blocks. They eventually caught the suspect who ended up having warrants out for his arrest. The also recovered a stolen vehicle.

In the evening hours, we made our way out to Antioch and captured photographs of a couple of arrest. The first set of photographs are from 6th Street and F Street as police tracked down a subject with stolen property.  The second set of photographs were from Rachel Ct. where police arrested a man for violating a restraining order–it was unclear on radio if the man had weapons on him.

Finally, we threw in a “happy” photograph of an officer with a dog after a resident called in a vandalism in progress at Mountaire Park in Antioch with three suspects fleeing the scene prior to police arriving.

Thank you for sharing these photographs. Sometimes posting facing of criminals makes them stop.

I think APD should post a rogues gallery on their Facebook page of those they have arrested. Putting a face to a criminal would help the public keep an “eye” on them. Knowing the face of a criminal makes one more aware of who is walking in their neighborhoods. It would be like an Amber listing. Just a suggestion. 🙂

APD is hard at work lately. Both criminals have the same sandals. Do they make them take their shoes off along with their belts before they put them in the PD car.

You are very observant, Elaine! 😉

Well let me know if they found a Mikita drill set and Mikita radio as I had a smash and grab on my truck Saturday night in the south end of town

There doing their every day job, this is what they get paid for. No one comes to my work when I put in a full day and says “great job.” That’s what they hired me for, so they should be out catching people, pursuing leads, etc. I will say it’s nice to see my tax paying dollars at work, that’s all.

What a shame to work in an occupation where you don’t get recognized for being a hard worker. I think it is well deserved and great that the majority of people posting on this very informative and factual site are doing so in a positive way. Yes arresting criminals is there duty but it is much more than that. The men and woman of the Antioch police department are going a great job! Thank you.

Nice to see that their decades of political correctness training from the 80’s and 90’s
are finally wearing off!

They all do work good, and try so hard to make every 911 call, as fast as possible. They work their butts off. My only issues is a lot have attitudes, talk down tp ppl who are needing help. Not good

Pat… Does your job involve taking criminals off the street and making the streets safe so you’re able to go to work or do whatever? And… If no one is telling you your doing a great job then you must not be doing… simple..
