Antioch Police

The Antioch Police Department announced the arrest of a 39-year-old Fremont man after a report of an armed robbery in progress.

The incident occurred Tuesday just after 11:00 pm in the 4100 block of Lone Tree Way at a gas station. The report was that a witness observed a male, armed with two pistols robbing the store and saw the male flee on foot towards Mokelumne Drive.

Officers quickly arrived in the area and attempted to stop a possible suspect in the Deer Valley Plaza. The suspect, a 39 year old Fremont resident, immediately began to run and discarded a firearm.

After a pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody and all of the property stolen in the robbery was located on his person.

The officers then backtracked the route the suspect had taken and recovered the discarded firearm, which was stolen, as well as a replica firearm. The male is on felony probation and was booked at County Jail.

They’re always on probation or parole because criminals commit crimes for a living.

It’s like this, for all the people who don’t understand how what’s behind a lot of these people remaining on our city’s street to terrorize it at their will… The Contra Costa County district attorney’s office has made it a point to Site people like this out of jail even with serious felony charges prior convictions and Things of that nature so yeah it’s bad what’s going on on itself but the people to blame are the The county politicians stop citing people out of jail and waiting three years to file charges that’s three more years to commit crimes in our communities !!!
