If Antioch PD has proper staffing, these crooks would never have made it out of Antioch in the first place. Yes on Measure C!!!!!!

This scene was pretty wild – strongest police presence in Pittsburg. I was listening on the scanner, as I always do and was able to get out and observe from a safe distance. I believe these guys are from Pittsburg or have connections here. The police were going door to door w K-9 unit as the chopper searched from the sky. The found a .40 cal and another weapon inside one of the homes, where they had detained a male and female who both claimed two of the subjects had just been there 10 minutes prior to the police arriving. They did bring the victim to ID the male, but he turned out not to be one of the wanted persons.

How can you tell these 3 are Americans by their skin color. ??….you don’t know that they are African Americans….you only know that they are Black. They may not have been Americans at all. There are black people from South America, The caribbean, europe etc etc…..you can not tell that they are Americans by their skin color.

Steven,
I’m confused. Where does it say the suspects were “African Americans”? The article describes them as being Black.

It did say that….since my posting they changed it.

NOonC – We don’t need more police. We need leaders that will stop letting so many section 8 people into our city!!

NOonC- maybe you should ride with one of the four officers on duty at 1am. Then witness a foot pursuit and see if “leadership” shows up to help. I agree too much section. 8 is a problem but Antioch needs more cops regardless..I’m a person that believes in walking in ones shoes before thinking I have the solution, try it!

Measure C is NOT going to fill your dreams of a lot more police, YOU have to read the fine print. Leadership does not need to be there at 4am, they need to open the books and look at how the money is being allocated. There is already money in the coffers for more police, Leadership needs to look at that. another TAX, which is NOT entirely for police, is NOT the answer. SO again, less section = less police needed. No need to create an emergency to run out and get shoes.
