At 11:01 am Monday, Antioch Police responded to the 5000 block of Lone Tree Way near Williamson Ranch Park for a report of several gunshots heard in the area.
Upon arrival, it was discovered the victim(s) and responsible(s) fled the area prior to police arrival.
According to Antioch Police Corporal Matthew Koch, a short time after the shooting, a 21-year-old male victim, of Antioch, arrived at an area hospital with a single gunshot wound. The victim underwent surgery; however, the wound did not appear to be life threatening.
