According to the Antioch Police Facebook Page, the incident took place before 6:00 am and involved diversionary devices that were deployed and set off loud banging noises—our readers confirmed the loud “bangs” and state they occurred around 5:35 am.

The subject was then taken into custody.

Lieutenant Jeff Bretzing of the Pleasanton Police Department stated that via email that he is not able to release anything specific about this case at this time as it is an active and sensitive investigation.

Sergeant Morefield of the Antioch Police Department would not comment on the incident, but did admit they “helped out”.
