Antioch Police Arrest Teen Who Threatens to “Smoke” Officer

by ECT

The Antioch Police Department announced that a teen recently arrested for an armed robbery in Brentwood has been arrested again after threatening an officer.

On November 7 at 3:48 pm an Antioch Police officer was conducting a security sweep of the Quick Stop parking lot on Sycamore Drive clearing out numerous loiterers.

A 17 year old male was contacted and refused orders to leave the parking lot. The officer exited his patrol car and the 17 year old approached the officer with his fists balled up and
challenging the officer to fight and threatening to assault him.

Several of the 17 year olds friends joined the group and the officer removed his taser from his holster telling the group to leave the lot. The group reluctantly did but not after the 17 year old threatened several times that he was going to “Smoke” the officer the next time
he saw him.

Cover units arrived and the group was contacted on Peppertree way where the 17 year old was taken into custody during which time he continued to threaten officers. It took several officers to place handcuffs on him and he stiffened up his body and refused to cooperate.

While at APD he continued his threats and remained uncooperative. He was ultimately taken to Juvenile Hall.

It was discovered that he was one of several subjects recently arrested for an armed robbery that occurred in Brentwood where APD units located the suspect vehicle and pursued it in our city.

Here is the information from Oct. 31 by Brentwood Police:

Brentwood: Six Juveniles Arrested After Sunday Night Crime Spree
Oct. 31, 2016

BRENTWOOD, CA – On October 30 at about 7:50 p.m. an unidentified suspect shot one of the windows in a structure with a pellet gun along the 3300 block of Camby Road in Antioch.

At about 8:25 p.m. unidentified suspects wearing clown masks and armed with handguns robbed a pizza delivery person near the intersection of Johnson and Gentrytown in Antioch. The take in this robbery was a cell phone and wallet. Fortunately the delivery person was not harmed.

At about 11:40 p.m. a Brentwood resident arrived home and parked in front of her residence in the 1200 block of Picadilly Lane (Brentwood) when suddenly a black 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix stopped next to her. A male wearing a ski mask approached while pointing a handgun and demanded her purse and phone which she surrendered. The male fled the area in the Pontiac, but the victim was able to obtain the vehicle license plate and called 911.

Fortunately the victim was not injured.

A short time later, an Antioch officer located the suspect vehicle in Antioch and a pursuit ensued. Objects were being thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit until a high risk stop was conducted and six male juvenile occupants (all from Antioch) were taken into custody without incident. Evidence associated with all three of the above crimes was recovered leading investigators to believe the crime spree had come to an end.

According to Brentwood Police Lt. Doug Silva, two pellet guns and real gun were recovered.

All six juveniles were booked into the Contra Costa County Juvenile Detention Facility on robbery charges.

The Brentwood Police Department would like to publicly thank the Antioch Police Department for their assistance in this investigation. Without their help, these juveniles may have been free to commit additional robberies.

If you have any additional information regarding the above incidents, please contact Detective Brian Lodge at the Brentwood Police Department (925-809-7748) or [email protected].

“White people and cops are the oppressors and I’m a victim bruh”
*Continues to oppress and victimize his community. Not the brightest bulb in the factory. Evil and goodness are present from both spectrums and classes.
