Brett Yost

The Antioch Police have arrested Brett Yost after posting his photograph on January 31 in connection with a theft at the Antioch Marina on December 29.  Antioch Police Officers James Colley and John Ramirez spotted Yost and recognized him from the photos. Yost tried to run from the officers, but he was quickly captured after a brief foot pursuit.

This is 32 year old Brett Yost, and he is one of our county jail’s newest residents. Does he look familiar to you? If not, look at our FB post from January 31st where we showed you pictures of someone just moments before he stole a city owned surveillance camera.

Today, Antioch Police Officers James Colley and John Ramirez spotted Yost and recognized him from the photos. Yost tried to run from the officers, but he was quickly captured after a brief foot pursuit. When confronted with the photos, Yost confessed to the theft. He was sent to county jail for the theft, as well as an outstanding felony warrant.

This is just another example of the fantastic work being done by the members of the Antioch Police Department to make our community safer. I am proud to be their chief…proud to be YOUR chief.
