The Antioch Police Department arrested a man who was trespassing inside a home when a fire broke out Thursday morning at 6:20 am in the 300 block Drake Street in Antioch.
Contra Costa County Firefighters responded to the incident to locate smoke coming from the home and quickly extinguished the small fire. The home was vacant and construction crews are currently in process of remodeling the home.
Police were able to take a man into custody on trespassing charges and upon further investigation.
The call originally was dispatched as a residential structure fire, however, units on scene quickly cancelled the remainder of the balance as only three engines were needed. Units were on scene for just under 60-minutes.
No one was injured.

Prediction: many of our fellow commentators will be clawing the air to know the skin color of the trespasser, since this description wasn’t listed. They will not sleep soundly until they know what shade his skin color was in relation to their own. In order to justify their deep inner hate they will seek to know how much melanin this man had in his skin. The comments will be coming soon….
