On August 28 at approximately 7:24 PM, Antioch Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of 17th Street and C Street. The officers arrived to find an adult male victim incapacitated from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he remains in grave condition. This case is currently being investigated by the Antioch Police Department Investigations Bureau.
Antioch Police are in the preliminary stages of this case, and no further information will be released at this time. Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call Detective James Stenger with the Antioch Police Department at (925)779-6894.

- According to radio traffic, the man was riding his bicycle when shot
- According to radio traffic, white or Hispanic males were the suspects (multiple subjects in a green or blue vehicle).
- Per witness, the driver was the shooter.
- On Aug. 24. Antioch Police responded to a homicide a few blocks away where a 30-year-old San Francisco man died from gunshot wounds on Lawton & D St.

Justin was there for my family when my son died a little over a year ago. Brett and Nick call me Mom. I am so sad & so sorry for his family and friends. He was a very sweet guy! My prayers are with you all! I hope they find who did this!! April

North Clayton Resident!!! You really need to get your facts straight before you speak! That 28 year-old guy was a very good guy. By the way he was taken off life support this morning about 4 am n he past away 8/30/2014. So people like you need to keep your mouth shut. Jerk!!!
R.I.P. Justin, I will never forget about you. I’ve known you since junior high, playing basketball during lunch time n kicking your ass. I know we haven’t really kept in touch in the last 10 years but facebook helped out on that part. Your an amazing guy and such a good hearted person. To Justin’ s family, I am so sorry for ur lost n you all will be in my thoughts and payers.

My prayers go out to the family. I actually heard the shots and it was about 12 to 15 rounds. I don’t think it was random, it sounded more like a target shooting.
