Antioch: Man Killed After Crashing into Backyard

A man in his 20’s died Wednesday night after his vehicle went off Cavallo Road and into a backyard.

The crash occurred at 10:03 pm at Cavallo Road and entered a backyard of a home in the 100 block of E. Madill St after police say he lost control. The vehicle struck a tree, went through a fence.

According to radio traffic, the male driver, an Antioch resident, was pronounced deceased on scene after being ejected from the vehicle.

Antioch Police Sergeant Rick Martin said speed is a factor in this collision, but it is unknown at this time if alcohol and/or drugs were involved. The incident is still under investigation by the traffic division.

Around 4:00 am, the truck was removed from the yard.
