Antioch Man is 4th Suspect Arrested in Organized Retail Theft at Walnut Creek Nordstrom

On Wednesday, the Walnut Creek Police Department announced additional charges have been filed against another suspect in the November 20, 2021 organized retail theft at the Broadway Plaza Nordstrom.

Walnut Creek Police Investigators followed leads and authored an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Jordan San Felipe of the City of Antioch

San Felipe was arrested on December 14, 2021 and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility. The District Attorney’s office reviewed the case and charged San Felipe with four felony counts including robbery, burglary, possession of stolen property and organized retail theft.

Contra Costa District Attorney Announces Felony Charges in Walnut Creek Nordstrom Theft

Three defendants face Felony charges of conspiracy, burglary, robbery, and organized retail theft.

MARTINEZ – The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office announces Felony charges have been filed related to the retail thefts at Nordstrom, Walnut Creek on November 20, 2021, when approximately 90 individuals stormed the Nordstrom Department Store in Walnut Creek simultaneously using three separate entrances.

Three people have been arrested by the Walnut Creek Police Department:

  • Dana Dawson, 30, San Francisco (gun charges)
  • Joshua Underwood 32, San Francisco,
  • Rodney Robinson 19. Oakland

“The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office is committed to working with the Walnut Creek Police Department and our retail community to hold those involved in retail theft accountable.  We are committed to stopping those who participate in organized retail theft, which has adverse and costly impacts on business owners and consumers as well” stated District Attorney Diana Becton.

Three Suspects Arrested After Organized Retail Theft at Walnut Creek Nordstrom

The Walnut Creek Police Department announced Sunday that three people were arrested in connection with an organized retail theft at Broadway Plaza Nordstrom in the City of Walnut Creek Saturday night.

Police are investigation what they are calling a “planned event” with initial calls coming into the police department about cars driving reckless in the area shortly before 9:00 pm. Norstom employees began calling 9-1-1 when approximately 80-people entered the store and immediately began stealing merchandise.

Two employees were assaulted and one was pepper sprayed by the suspects. Officers arrived on scene quickly, stopping one of the cars and arresting two people, one of them was in possession of a firearm. Another person was arrested nearby a short time later in possession of stolen Nordstrom property.

Arrested:

  • Dana Dawson, 30 of San Francisco (gun charges)
  • Joshua Underwood, 32 of San Francisco
  • Rodney Robinson, 18 of Oakland

The remaining participants in this criminal mob fled  from the area in cars at high speeds according to police.

Mr. Street. Please find it in your heart to show compassion. This “FINE” young man was only trying to steal so he could sell the merchandise to buy him and his 4 sons and 4 baby mamas the new release Jordan’s. He does have his priorities in line.
