Antioch Man Arrested on Human Trafficking Charges by Pittsburg Police

by ECT

On Saturday, January 31, the Pittsburg Police Department arrested Kevin Williams, 25, of Antioch, on human trafficking charges.

According to police, Williams was holding a woman and an underage girl against their will for several weeks.

Police began to uncover details after a report of a man and woman arguing at the Motel 6 in Pittsburg. Police were suspicious of William who has a history of human trafficking, and separated the two parties.

According to Captain Ron Raman of the Pittsburg Police Department, he praised officers for being aware of the situation and making a great observation given that Williams is already on probation for human trafficking and known to law enforcement.

He further explained that once the three people were separated, the story became clear once the females could talk freely.

Raman explained that the underage girl was a runaway from Oakley and kept the women with him using violence and fear. Pittsburg police detectives are still working this investigation and more charges may be filed soon,

Raman said that detectives were still working to uncover the full extent of Williams’ activities and that multiple charges could be filed soon.

Police are encouraging anyone with information on this case or human trafficking in general to call Det. Joshua Reddoch at 925-252-4184 or the Pittsburg Police at 925-252-4940.
