The Pleasant Hill Police Department reported that just after midnight, two Sun Valley Mall employees were talking inside a car near the Burger King restaurant.
Police say a masked gunman approached the driver and demanded his car. The suspect fled the area in the stolen auto. Within minutes, PHPD officers tracked the stolen car to a neighborhood in Bay Point.
Pleasant Hill Police officers and CCCSO deputies converged on the area and located the occupied stolen car. The driver, a 26 year-old Antioch man with a recent history of auto theft arrests, was arrested for carjacking and other related charges.
He was booked into the county jail in Martinez. A simulated firearm was recovered inside the stolen auto. The vehicle and other stolen property were returned to the owner.
The suspects identity was not released.

Notice that a lot of these car thieves come from either Antioch or Oakland! Is there a connection?
Yeah! A lot of Oakland’s upstanding citizens (NOT) have been Section 8-ed to Antioch thanks to our esteemed county supervisor, Federal What’sHisName! Thanks Feddie! Thanks for nothing!
In Antioch and Oakley they would treat this crime as an insurance issue.
This guy stole my buddies wagon in Martinez a week earlier from a mechanic’s shop where his father works. His name is Rocky. Check with the CC times. He needs help
