Antioch: Man Arrested After August 19 Shots Fired Call on Rodeo Court

The Antioch Police Department arrested Russell Fernando, 30 of Antioch, after receiving several calls of shots fired in the area of Rodeo Court on August 19.

According to Police, Fernando was contacted in front of his residence and claimed to be the victim of a shooting. Fernando stated that when he arrived home he found an old associate in his garage.

Fernando said the man pointed a gun in his direction so he fired in self-defense. There were several bullet holes in Fernando’s garage and his vehicle, but there was no evidence of anybody being struck by the gunfire.

Police say Fernando was not very forthcoming.

The firearm that Fernando used in the shooting was located inside his residence along with items used to manufacture hash oil. Numerous stolen checks, ID cards, and Passports were located in Fernando’s vehicle.

Fernando had an arrest warrant for burglary and was sent to county jail on the listed charges.
