Antioch: Gas Main Break Shuts Down Portion of W 10th Street

At 12:04 pm Friday, Contra Costa County Fire and PG&E were dispatched to a report of a gas main break in the 1000 block of Auto Center Dr. at W 10th Street in the City of Antioch.

Crews were dispatched after a construction crew hit a 4-inch gas main. PG&E was immediately dispatched to the scene. At least four businesses in the area were evacuated.

By 12:40 pm, the eastbound direction of W. 10th Street was shut down between Auto Center and Crestview. No timetable was provided on when the roadway will reopen.
