Antioch: Firefighters Make Quick Work of Abandoned Motor Home Fire

by ECT

Just before 10:00 am Wednesday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire in the City of Antioch.

Upon arrival to E 18th and Phillips Lane at Arrowhead Tow, firefighters located a fully involved dilapidated abandoned motor home that was in the process of being dismantled.

Firefighters make quick work of the blaze which sent a large cloud of smoke into the area in about 20 minutes. Crews were on scene for roughly 50-minutes.

Arrowhead Tow is one of a few companies who will take these types of vehicles and help reduce blight, eye sores and dismantle them while working to prevent potentially hazardous situations.

No injuries were reported and no other vehicles or structures were damaged.
