At 7:27 am Friday morning, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District crews responded to shed fire on E. 16th Street after multiple callers had reported seeing smoke. The call originally came in as a commercial structure fire at the Wells Fargo Bank on A Street, but the smoke was actually coming from the street behind the building.
When crews arrived on scene, they saw smoke coming from a shed behind the home in the attic area. Crews quickly made entry and extinguished the fire within 15-minutes and protecting nearby structures. PG&E was also called the the scene.
Crews were on scene for 2-hours and 19-minutes. The fire is still under investigation.
