At 12:55 am Saturday, East Contra Costa firefighters were dispatched to a vegetation fire along Highway 4 near Lone Tree Road.
Upon arrival, Engine 93 located a vegetation fire and estimated a 3-acre fire that was wind driven and bumping up against Empire Road. Additional units were requested.
By 1:20 am, Battalion 5 reported the fire was out, however, mop up was going to last about an hour.
