Antioch Duo Arrested in Thanksgiving Day Homicide in Bay Point

On Thursday, November 24, 2022, at about 3:40 PM, Muir Station deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a report of a shooting on Wharf Drive in Bay Point.

Deputies arrived on scene finding a shooting victim on the street. The fire department and an ambulance arrived to treat the victim. He was later pronounced deceased at the scene. He is not being identified at this time.

Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives and crime lab personnel responded to the location.

Deputies later detained two subjects nearby. After being interviewed by detectives, they were both booked into the Martinez Detention Facility where they are currently being held.

18-year-old Emmanuel Morales of Antioch was booked on two charges: murder and possession of an assault weapon.

38-year-old Arturo Morales of Antioch was booked on an accessory charge.

Homicide on Mountain View Avenue

On Thursday morning at about 8:47, Muir Station deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a report of a shooting at a residence on Mountain View Avenue in Bay Point.

Deputies arrived on scene where they located a shooting victim and detained one person. Deputies immediately performed life-saving measures on the victim. The fire department and an ambulance arrived on scene. The victim was later pronounced deceased. The 62-year-old Bay Point resident is not being identified at this time.

Detectives from the Homicide Unit and crime lab staff arrived on scene.

After interviewing the person who was detained, detectives booked him into the Martinez Detention Facility (MDF) for murder. He is identified as 63-year-old Donald Robbins of Bay Point. He currently remains in custody at MDF.

No other information was released on either case.
