Antioch: Driver Arrested on Suspicion of DUI After Crashing Into House

by ECT

At 7:21 pm  Thursday, the Antioch Police Department and Contra Costa firefighters responded to a report of a pickup truck into a house in the 2900 block of Lone Tree Way.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the driver of the truck was traveling north on Lone Tree Way when he struck two parked cars before leaving the roadway and colliding with a residence through the garage. The driver of the truck was found still sitting in the driver’s seat uninjured.

There was only one occupant home at the time of the incident. The victim was struck by debris from the collision and taken to an area hospital for minor injuries. Due to a gas main break, officers evacuated area residents to a safe distance until the gas could be shut off.

According to Sergeant Will Dee, the driver was eventually arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. No further information released at this time.

We are not safe on the roads, whether it be in our cars, walking, riding a bicycle, and now… sleeping in our homes. Antioch has got to be the city with the most vehicle vs. home accidents in CCC.

What the heck is wrong with this town?

Never see any Antiich police doing traffic enforcement but no shortage of drunk and aggressive drivers running red lights at 70 mph, especially by Hazel’s on PBH. We need a new mayor and city manager.
