Antioch: Deadline Approaching to Apply for Citizens Law Enforcement Academy

The Antioch Police Department are looking for citizens to participate in its 3rd Citizens Law Enforcement Academy. Classes begin October 4, 2017.

The deadline to apply is quickly approaching on Sept. 1, 2017

The Academy provides a unique opportunity for the participants to meet the officers and employees that protect and serve our community. The intent of the Citizens Law Enforcement Academy is to educate the community on the duties, training, investigation techniques and situations police officers and other members of the Police Department may encounter.

Participants of the academy will be given the opportunity to experience some of the activities Law Enforcement Officers and department personnel perform as part of their duties. Hands-on experiences include fingerprinting, and problem solving. Interact with our K-9 and handler, and ride-along with an officer. Join us for a unique learning experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 18
  • Live in Antioch
  • No Misdemeanor convictions within one year of applying
  • No Felony convictions
  • Space is limited to 20 Students
  • Applicants MUST commit to attend all Academy Sessions
