On February 13, at 11:47 am, the Antioch Police Dispatch began receiving calls of shots being fired in front of the Chevron in the 3200 block of Delta Fair Blvd at Somersville Road. Officers responded to the scene where they located a 31 year old male, Antioch resident on the ground.
He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Also on scene was a 34 year old male from Cordelia. It appears at this time that the 34 year old male and the 31 year old male knew each other and a confrontation ensued at this location, culminating in the 34 year old shooting the 31 year old.
The 31 year old was transported to an area hospital where he is currently in surgery. After the shooting the 34 year old remained on scene and awaited the arrival of the police.
Antioch Detectives were called in and have taken over the investigation. The 34 year old is cooperating with the investigation at this time and no arrests have been made.
This investigation is in its preliminary stages and no further information will be released at this time. Anybody having information related to this incident is encouraged to contact Det. Vanderpool at (925) 779-6988

Can’t feel safe any place in Antioch. Fools shooting at a gas station could have blown up the place. Just so disgusting how a once nice town has turned into a complete pigsty (pig pen) where you have to worry if you or your kids will get caught up in the madness
Antioch was never been a nice town. It’s gotten worse, but Pittsburg and Antioch have always been the worst cities in Easy County, and they always will be.
Antioch was a beautiful nice clean town. Pittsburg has always been ghetto not Antioch. Antioch got bad in 2000’s but in the 90s was awesome! You don’t know jack Nick!

Oakland, Richmond filth into our city. At least half the people that live in Antioch are still fighting hard for our city. My hopes, which may seem far fetched is that by miracle of God this filth leaves our town. They shoot, litter, rob, burglarize, rape, murder each other and anyone in their path. If caught deport them back to where they came from or lock them up and throw away the keys. These section 8 free loaders are the main ingredient to this mess. They dont care about nothing but using their ebt cards on fast food and littering it all over our streets along with their baby diapers and swisher packs.

I grew up in Antioch. My parents still live there. Antioch will always be my home and I will always love it. Everyone that has a comment here is correct about the situation. Its real bad!!! So bad that even the worst teenager back in 80s was a saint compared to these low lifes. imagine burning an elderly mans trees down who liived on the same street for 50 years. There is always negative activity going on at both of Valero and Chevron gas stations because of homeless drug addicts and other negative types. I feel sorry for everyone who works at these two stations. Myself, I would like to go there and buy gas without fearing I’m going to get hassled. We pay a s-load of property taxes thanks to Discovery Homes to live in Antioch every year. Definitely no bang for your property tax buck in Antioch; they don’t clean up anything. It is dirty, filthy town with nothing for responsible adults who work hard all week to do on the weekend. You have to plan your entire life around traffic and going out when there won’t be idiots doing deciding to do a car side show in right in front of you on Somersville thanks to the new left installed by what will be a bunch of more section 8 townhomes from what I’ve heard. There is just as much white i wanna be gangster tweak trash as there is section 8 trash and drug addicted homeless. Why is it so hard for the City Council to get on this and get the job done. Why are there so many vacant buildings for these homeless to take up residence and destroy an entire shopping center?
