At 11:37 am Tuesday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of heavy smoke coming from an Arco Building under construction in the City of Antioch.
Firefighters arrived on scene to the corner of Contra Loma and Buchanan to smoke and flames coming from the building with no exposures to other structures. The fire was contained to inside the building with flames coming out the roof. Firefighters immediately went into defensive mode.
By 11:55 am, Battalion Chief 8 reported the fire was under control.
By 12:04 pm, Battalion Chief 8 reported the fire was out and they were in the process of mopping up the incident.
No further information was available as crews are still on scene.

Im surprised nobody blamed the homeless for this yet!
The owner of that property chased a bunch of homeless people out of that partially-built structure. Then he left! They were not pleased! A few minutes later, the fire started.
