Antioch: 3 in Custody in Friday Afternoon Shooting on W 4th Street

by ECT

The Antioch Police Department says three suspects were arrested after a shooting Friday afternoon around 1:35 pm on 4th Street and K Street in the City of Antioch.

According to Sergeant James Stenger, an Antioch Police Community Service Officer saw a suspect vehicle fleeing the scene and was able relay a description of the vehicle to responding officers. An Antioch Police Officer and Contra Costa County Sheriff Helicopter Star 3 located the suspect vehicle on L and 9th Streets fleeing the area.

“The suspect vehicle was stopped and three adult males, all out of the City of Alameda were taken into custody,” said Stenger.

A loaded semi-automatic firearm was located in the vehicle. Evidence at the shooting scene connected the three suspects to the shooting.

The suspects were identified as three males out of Alameda (19 y/o, 20 y/o & 21 y/o). Their names were not released.

Police say it appears that one of the three suspects fired numerous rounds into another vehicle, which also fled the shooting scene. The victim vehicle and any possible victims have not been located. The three suspects were booked into the County Jail in Martinez.

Incredibly good and efficient law enforcement response. They deserve recognition for this. There was a lot of expertise and coordination here.

The three stooges! Are they related to the 3 stooges that got caught in Martinez yesterday as well? Dumb asses! Happy New Years! How would you like it if your families were victims of the crimes you commit? Go do that shit in your own hood!
