Antioch: 1 Dead, 3 Injured in Friday Night Crash

At 9:36 pm Friday, East Contra Costa firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle crash on Lone Tree Way at Slatten Ranch in Antioch.

Upon arrival, they located a three vehicle crash with one person ejected and three others injured. There were a total of 4-patients with a fatality, two transported by ground ambulance and one with minor injures who refused transport.

img_8314According to witnesses, a female in a white truck was driving westbound on Lone Tree Way towards Highway 4 at a high rate of speed when it struck another vehicle causing a chain reaction which struck a third vehicle. The impact caused the white truck to roll multiple times causing the driver to be ejected and killed. The driver was in their 20’s to early 30’s according to police.

No further details were provided on scene and police would not confirm if drugs or alcohol were related to the crash.

Police currently have a portion of Lone Tree Way blocked off and is expected to be closed for several hours as an investigation is underway.  Antioch Police will be releasing more information on Saturday.

Agencies responding included Antioch Police, Brentwood Police, American Medical Response, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District.
