A Wednesday night drive by shooting left one man dead and another man in critical condition as police and emergency personnel responded around 7:45 pm.
According to police, a male adult from Richmond died on scene while a second victim from Vallejo was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries after police arrived on scene. Police quickly blocked off portions of roads on Buchanan/Somerville and Delta Fair and Buchanan as police searched for evidence and leads on who was responsible.
The shooting occured in mutliple locations before coming to a stop on Somerville Road. The suspect vehicle was described as a gold four-door vehicle, possibly a Honda or a Chevy according to police.
This was the 7th homicide of the year in Antioch.

SUSPECT VEHICLE: Described as a 4 door vehicle. Possibly a Honda or Chevy, unknown model, Gold in color.
On July 31st Officers responded to Delta Fair Blvd and Buchanan Rd. on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located numerous shell casings in the street and quickly located the victim vehicle on Somersville Rd. just north of Buchanan Rd.
Officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Victim #1 was pronounced dead at the scene. Victim #2 was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
This investigation is ongoing.

Thank you for this article. While some people will complain on facebook about the showing of these photographs I applaud this site for posting them. I am not going to lie, I come here for the photographs.
I wonder if this has any ties to the shooting that occurred at Vista Grande Dr. and Lone Tree Way a few months ago. It seems that violent crime is on the rise.
It’s better to know what’s going on than not to know. It’s necessary to have a realistic view of the dangers than to live with your head in the sand. I am so glad not to have a teenager out trying to drive with this going on — no idea how you parents of young people endure.

It amazes me that so many crimes in this area involve people that don’t even live here! Why are they here?? These types of crimes do not seem random but very deliberate.

You never sleep where you do dirt at thats why the crime is up in antioch, you have people from oakland, san francisco, berkeley, fairfield, etc.
